Designer Weekend DONE!

Well we're pretty exhausted here at Melle Cloche because we've just finished our Sottero & Midgley Designer Weekend.  We want to thank all the brides that came along and tried on these stunning dresses and to all the brides who bought their dream dress - we had so much fun, we hope you did too!

From the highly esteemed Maggie Sottero design house, Sottero & Midgley offers a contemporary and sophisticated collection for the fashion-forward bride. With Sottero & Midgley fast becoming one of our best selling labels, we’re excited to be able to preview the new collection during the designer weekend ahead of receiving our very own samples in September.

As well as being able to see the new collection and try on the samples, brides who book their appointment for the designer weekend will benefit from a 10% DISCOUNT on the day.

Trades Hall Wedding Show.

We had a fantastic time at The Trades Hall Wedding Show on Sunday! Not only did we have a stand packed full of all our beautiful shoes and accessories but we took over the catwalk and showed off just some of our fabulous dresses.

Twobirds Trunk Show

Fancy a girlie day/evening of fizz, cake and dressing up in beautiful dresses? 

On Wednesday 11th May from 2pm till 9pm we'll be having a Twobirds Trunk Show at our Merchant City boutique. We'll have the full colour collection including the new Tulle colours, and your bridesmaids will get the chance to see how this beautiful dress works, what styles suit them best and see all the gorgeous colour options.

Real Bride - Natalie Wong.

This months real bride is the very lovely Natalie Wong who got married at the Lochside Hotel in Cumnock last month. 

Natalie came to us last year looking for her dream dress and instantly fell in love with 'Winter' by Alfred Angelo. This dress was the perfect choice for Natalie as it really showed off her slender figure and the light ivory colour was beautiful against her skin tone. Winter is a simple chiffon and net dress with a corset back which our seamstress took out for Natalie and replaced with a zip and small ivory buttons - we also added an underskirt to the bottom to add that extra bit of drama. 

Natalie accessorised with the Zambia veil, which is a single tier floor length veil with a diamante edged trim and the Nadia forehead band. 

She was also prepared for the Scottish weather with our Minelli feather shrug in Ivory. 

Natalie's Bridesmaids also got the Melle Cloche treatment and wore stunning candy coloured dresses in pale grey, petal pink and simple ivory by Bari-Jay.

Sottero & Midgley Show

We were lucky enough to be invited by Sottero & Midgley to view their new Fall 16 collection in Liverpool a couple of weeks ago. We had a fab time meeting lots of other stockists and quite a few glasses of Prosecco were drank (purely for social purposes only, you understand!!)  

We absolutely loved the collection - so many different looks with duchess satin making an appearance on quite a few and still touches of lace and embroidery along with gorgeous separates, which you can mix and match with different tops and skirts.
