Here are details of how the conference will affect the city’s road network around the main venue, the SEC, and river. Please take these diversions into consideration when visiting the store.
Congress Road: Road Closed until 17th November.
Congress Way, Finnieston Quay, Tunnel Street, Stobcross Road (section Parallel to A814) and Castlebank Street: Full road closure 2100hrs 24th October to 0600hrs 21st November.
Clyde Arc and Lancefield Quay: Road Closure 2100hrs 23rd October to 0600hrs Monday 15th November. Note Clyde Arc and Lancefield Quay will reopen to Service Buses Only at 0600hrs 24th October.
Finnieston Street – Houldsworth Street to Lancefield Quay: Road Closure 2100hrs 24th October to 0600hrs Monday 15th November.
Clydeside Expressway – Partick Interchange to Anderston (Jnct 19): Road Closure 2100hrs Saturday 23rd October to 0600hrs Monday 15th November.
Minerva Street - West Greenhill Place: Road Closed 0600hrs 28th October to 0600hrs 13th November. Local Access to private carparks maintained.
Diversion routes will be in place around the SEC to keep traffic moving and, as with previous city events, Local Area Traffic Management Plans (LATMPs) are being developed to keep traffic moving for road users.
Active travel routes have still to be confirmed however, pedestrian access will be maintained on Finnieston Street, Lancefield Quay and Clyde Arc at all times as will routes for emergency services.
Some days are expected to be busier than others. The biggest disruption is expected on Saturday 6 November, which has been designated as the Global Day For Climate Justice.
