LATEST COVID UPDATE

A little update from Jac & Lisa…

Following the recent announcement from the Sottish Government that we’re now moving beyond Level 0 we have revised some of our current safety protocols and what that means when you visit Melle Cloche.

As you know we’re in ‘wedding season’ this summer so our first priority is to keep our team and brides safe so that we can ensure all our brides are immaculately dressed, relaxed and ready for their long awaited wedding day.

As much as we’re welcoming the relaxing of restrictions we have to acknowledge that not everyone has been double vaccinated and the increase in positive Covid results in the 20 to 30 something age group is still quite high.  Our team is small and working at full capacity so we need to ensure their safety and ability to deliver the service brides deserve. So we’ve decided to relax the restrictions slightly but not fully and we hope you understand and cooperate.

  • BRIDAL - We’re now allowing up to 3 guests to accompany a bride at appointments.

  • BRIDESMAIDS - We’re allowing 3 bridesmaids to try-on (accompanied with the bride), however if you want more girls to try on we can accommodate this by extending the appointment and separating bridesmaids into two groups while trying.

  • FITTINGS/ALTERATIONS - We have decided not to relax the restrictions for our bridal fittings at the moment to keep our seamstresses safe and to limit the risk for brides getting married imminently.

  • ACCESSORIES - We ask that you only bring along 1 person with you for a styling/accessory appointment.

Face coverings must be worn at all times, throughout all appointments along with regular hand sanitising.

As our peak wedding season runs until the end of September we anticipate reviewing these guidelines again at that point and relaxing them further.

We really hope the easing of restrictions means all weddings post 9th August 2021 are exactly what you’ve dreamed of and that you all ceilidh into the wee small hours!

Thank you all for your continued support, co-operation and understanding.

COVID FAQ’s - UPDATED AUGUST 2021.

HOW DO I KNOW YOUR BOUTIQUE IS SAFE AND CLEAN?

We are still doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our staff and clients by keeping our boutique clean and sanitised as much as possible.

Our brides and guests must also assume a level of personal safety and responsibility and decide when an appointment feels right for them.

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We ask that you bring a maximum of three guests to your appointment.

Currently there are no exceptions to this at the moment (until we review this again in September) and we also kindly ask you to not bring children to appointments if you can help it.

WHAT IF I WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO SEE MY DRESS?

We understand that for a lot of brides bringing lots of friends and family is a big part of choosing their dress, so we have encourage you to arrange a FaceTime with those extra guests so that they can give opinions and swoon over your faves.

As before, your appointment will not be confirmed unless your deposit has been paid.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO TOUCH THE DRESSES?

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A MASK?

Face coverings are mandatory for all brides and guests while in the studio - there is no exceptions to this (unless medically exempt) as you are most of the time in close proximity to your stylist. However the bride may take the mask off once your stylist or fitter has stepped away to make sure you’ve nailed the look!

Please also read the guide prices we have on each designers page on our website, so you can be sure we fit within your budget.

AM I STILL ABLE TO BUY A SAMPLE SALE DRESS?

Yes, we still have a fabulous selection of ex-sample dresses available at a heavily reduced cost. Please look at our SALE section on the website to browse some of the styles currently available.

Yes, we have a customer toilet in our foyer which you and your guests are welcome to use.

AM I ABLE TO TRY ON ACCESSORIES DURING MY APPOINTMENT?

Yes, you can still try on veils and headpieces during your appointment and your stylist can help you with selecting them. If however you prefer to browse at home then you can shop our accessories HERE and have them posted to your address or pick up in-store.

ARE YOU STILL DOING BRIDESMAID APPOINTMENTS?

Yes, we are offering bridesmaid appointments for up to 3 bridesmaids at a time- if you wish for more to try on then please let us know as we can accommodate if we have no other appointments in at the same time.

ARE DRESSES TAKING LONGER TO ARRIVE?

We’re continuously working and communicating with our designers on lead times. We appreciate that for some brides their timescales may be a little shorter due to the lockdown period, however designers are aware of this and are trying their best to work to shorter wear dates where possible.

Providing your wedding date when booking your appointment allows us to make you aware of what is possible.

*Please note due to a high level of covid still in certain parts of Asia our bridesmaid designer MiaBelle is unable to deliver before December 2021”
